Common Name Vierling's Masdevallia [German Orchid Enthusiast current]

Found in Peru without elevational data as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with erect, furrowed ramicauls enveloped by 3 sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, thinly coriaceous, lanceolate, gradually narrowing below into the petioalte base leaf that blooms on a thin, terete, curved, horizontally spreading to descending, to 2.4" [6 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a close floral bract.
