Common Name Mosen's Maxillaria [Swedish Discoverer of Species late 1800's early 1900's]

This is a small sized, cool to warm growing, erect or pendant, epiphytic, Brazilian species with an ascending rhizome carrying closely set, fusiform, plurisulcate, 4 to 8 angled, glossy green-black pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical, linear-oblanceolate, acute to long acuminate leaves and blooms in the spring and summer in Brazil on a 1 1/5" to 2" [3 to 5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence that is enveloped by ovate, acuminate sheaths and arising on a mature pseudobulb .
