Found in Venezuela, Guyana, Fr Guiana, Surinam and Ecuador in cloud forests at elevations around 1900 meters as a small to medium sized, cool, pendant to erect growing epiphyte with cylindrical, elongate pseudobulbs enveloped completely by leaf bearing sheaths and carrying 2 apical, linear, unequally bilobed apically, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the spring, summer and early fall on an axillary, short, single flowered inflorescence
