Common Name Woj's Maxillaria [American Orchid Enthusiast and grower of species current]

Flower Size 6" [15 cm]

Found in Colombia with elliptic, compressed, ancipitous pseudobulbs completely enveloped by foliaceous sheaths subsimilar to the leaves and carrying a single, apical, oblong-elliptic, acute, arching, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later spring on 1 to 3, horizontal, shorter, single flowered inflorescence enveloped by elliptic, tubular, inflated, acute, keeled floral bracts that surpass the ovary in length.
