Common Name The Purple-Green Mesadenella

Flower Size .36" [9 mm]

Found in Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo states of Brazil at elevations of 800 to 1100 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing terrestrial orchid with a basal rosette of ovoid to suborbicular, acuminate, dorsal surface white spotted, gradually narrowing below into the thin, elongate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, erect, peduncle 12" [30 cm] long, provided with 6 to 7, adpressed, triangular-lanceolate, long-acuminate sheathing bracts, rachis 2.8 to 3.2" [7 to 8 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with erect to erect-patent, somewhat concave, longer than the ovary floral bracts.
