Found in the Gulf of Guinea Islands, Cameroon, Gabon, Rwanda and Uganda in dense forest understories on trees and shrubs at elevations of 1680 to 1950 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short stem with a few long, loosely attached, pendulous, sparsely branching roots and no leaves that blooms in the late summer and fall on up to 4 simultaneously, 1" [2.5 cm] long, to 6 flowered inflorescence .
