Found in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Australia in swamp forests and rainforests in eposed locations at elevations of 450 to 800 meters as a hot growing epiphyte that blooms in the spring and fall on an ereect, lax, scaley pubescent, apically fractiflex, few to several flowered inflorescence with triangular, obtuse floral bracts and has wide opening non-resupinate flowers.
