Found in penninsular Malaysia, Java, New Guinea and Borneo in lower montane forests at elevations around 900 to 1100 meters as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing, twig epiphyte with a very short stem carrying 2 to 4, lanceolate, apiculate, sessile leaves that blooms in the winter and summer on a glabrous, angular, fractiflex, 6 to 8 flowered inflorescence with each flower arising from imbricate, persistent, triangular bracts
