Found in Kenya, Tanzania and Malawi in dry woodlands and near the coast at elevations of sea level to 500 meters as a medium to large sized, hot growing epiphyte with long grey brown, verrucose roots radiating from a short stewm and blooms in the winter on an erect, 3/4 to 4" [2 to10 cm] long, to 7 simultaneously, to 20 flowered inflorescence
