Found in Boyaca department of Colombia in thick forests at elevations around 1750 meters as a large sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect, very delicate, glabrous stem carrying 7 in the lower half of the stem, obliquely ovate-lanceolate, long-acuminate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, terminal, not fully mature in the herbarium speciemen, 2.6" [6.5 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, somewhat oblique, sparsely glandular,slightly shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying small, white flowers.
"Similar to M plantagineus , M vesicifer, M zeuxinoides and M parvilabrum but separable from them all by the relatively small, obscure lip epipchile. The presence of the distinct constriction between the lip epichile and hypochile and the cordatre-saggitate epichile are unique to the new spfdeies. The flowers of M uribei are relatively small and its spur is narrowly cylindrical-clavate, blunt ands slightly shorter than the ovary. " Szlachetko & Kolanowska 2017
