Common Name The Rare Microtis - The Scented Onion Orchid
Flower Size .2 to .24" [5 to 6 mm]
Found in Queensland and New South Wales at elevations of 0 to 300 meters in coastal and near coastal ranges in scrub and forests as a medium to large sized, cold growing terrestrial with a thin, onion-like, hollow leaf that blooms in the spring and early summer on an erect, 8 to 20" [20 to 50 cm] long, 10 to 50 flowered inflorescence with densely packed, fragrant flowers.
