Common Name The ? Bulbophyllum - In China Duan Ban Lan
Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]
Found in Assam, the eastern Himalayas, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam in primary, mossy, evergreen and semi-deciduous, mixed and coniferous forests on rocky karst limestone at elevations of 600 to 2200 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing lithophyte and occasional epiphyte with 2.8 to 3.6" [7 to 9 cm] between each smooth, ovoid to pear shaped pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, leathery, strap shaped, obliquely obtuse apically, petiolate base leaf and blooms in the winter and early spring on a basal, erect to arching, 12" to 18" [30 cm to 45 cm] long, flexuous, 10 to 15 flowered inflorescence.
