Common Name The Other Dischore Bulbophyllum [Mountains in New Guinea]

Flower Size 2.28” [5.7 cm] long

Found in the Sulawesi Islands and New Guinea at elevations of 1300 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with .4" [1 cm] between each obliquely ovoid, sulcate, 4 angled pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, obtuse, contracted below into the sub-petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late fall on a densely muricate-papillose, 3.2 to 5" [8 to 12.5 cm] long, wiry inflorescence with 2 to 3 distant glabrous bracts, and a small glabrous floral bract carrying a single pendent, large, alien-looking, non-resupinate flower.
