Found in northern Brazil as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with suberect, fusiform-oblong, laterally compressed pseudobulbs carrying more or less 9, linear-lanceolate, plicate, narrowing below into the pseudo-petiolate, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the spring on a basal, erect, 12 to 16" [30 to 40 cm] long, few [4 to 6] flowered inflorescence.
