Found in Matto Grosso do Sul Brazil at elevations around 300 meters as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with clustered, elliptic-lanceolate, wider near the base, slightly laterally compressed pseudobulbs carrying numerous, linear-lanceolate, acute, basally clasping, with caniculated, pseudo-petiolate base leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, 12" [30 cm] long, to 25 flowered inflorescence arising from the nodes on the lower half of the pseudobulb, and has 3 to 5, amplexicaul bracts and triangular floral bracts.
