Common Name The Longitudinally Striped Mormodes
Flower Size 2" [5 cm]
Found in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras at elevations of 500 to 1000 meters as a medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with oblong-conic, slightly compressed pseudobulbs enveloped basally by clasping sheaths that give rise to deciduous, plicate, elliptic-oblong leaves that blooms in the fall and winter on a basal, 8.8" [22 cm] long, several [15] flowered, racemose inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers.
Flowers on the same inflorescence can be polymorphic or in other words have different shapes.
