Common Name Schweinfurth's Mormolyca [American Botanist 1900's]
Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]
Found in Peru at elevations of 1500 to 2000 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome carrying well spaced, cylindrical, laterally compressed pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the conduplicate, shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms at most any time of the year on an erect, basal, 6" [15 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
