Found in southeastern Yunnan Province of China in virgin evergreen broad-leaved forests at elevations of 1000 to 1100 metrers as a large sized, cool growing terrestrial with many, nearly tufted on a short stem oblong to lanceolate, long-acuminate, margin membraneous, slightly dilated below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, to 14" [35 cm] long overall, rachis 4.4" [11 cm] long, with glandular trichimes, 20+ flowered inflorescence with ovate to lanceolate, abaxially glandular floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate, white flowers
