Common Name The Giant Oberonia - In China Cheng Huang yuan wei lan
Flower Size .08 to .12" [2 to 3 mm]
Found in central and northern Taiwan in broad leaved forests at elevations around 800 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm growing epiphyte with a usually pendent stem enveloped completely by imbricating leaf sheath bases carrying 5 to 8, sub-basal, distichous, laterally compressed, ensiform, fleshy, acuminate, articulate basally leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, subterete, wingless, 6 to 8" [15 to 20 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with triangular-linear, acuminate floral bracts.
