Found in Assam, the eastern Himalayas, Nepal, Myanamar, Thailand and southern China at elevations of 400 to 1200 meters as a warm to cool growing epiphtye with a short stem carrying 4 to 5, linear-ensiform, acute to subacute, leaves in a fan shape that blooms in the fall on a decurved, verticillate, 4" [10 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with filiform, subsimilar, reflexed floral bracts
