Found in Thailand and penninsular Malaysia and Sumatra in moist ground in tropical rainforests at elevations of 400 to 1000 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with a leafy, erect stem carrying purplish green, lanceolate, acute, thin, gradually narrowing below into the very short petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer and fall on an erect, pubescent, terminal, short, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceoalte, acuminate, 3 veined, subentire, ciliate, otherwise glabrous, subequal to the ovaries floral bracts.
