Found in the Comoros and southeastern Madagascar in deciduous coastal forests at elevations up to 200 meters as a small to medium sized, hot growing terrestrial with narrow, distant pseudobulbs carrying 2, linear, acute, grass-like leaves that blooms in the mid summer on an erect, thin, elongated, peducle 3 to 4 times longer than the rachis, provided with 3 to 4, short, acute, slightly visible sheaths, rachis loosely 9 to 12 flowered inflorescence
