Common Name Arias' Oncidium [Peruvian nurseryman - current]

Found in Peru near Tingo Maria at elevations of 1700 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with closely spaced, ovate, to elliptic, laterally compressed, ancipitous pseuodobulbs enveloped basally by 1 to 2 leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying 2, apical, erect, oblong-oblanceolate, rounded to obtuse, narrow near the base to a conduplicate, short, petiole-like base leaves that blooms in the summer on a arching to horizontal, basal, paniculate inflorescence arising from the axils of the basal leaf sheaths with several, short, closely spaced towards the apex branches that bear several flowers both fertile and sterile flowers
