Common Name Lindley's Oncidium [English Orchid Botanist 1800's]

Flower Size 1 to 1.6" [2.5 to 4 cm]

Found in southwestern Mexico and northern Guatemala at elevations of 500 to 1900 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with clustered, egg-shaped, laterally compressed, ancipitous, 3 to 4 longitudinally grooved, densely green with small spots pseudobulbs enveloped basally in youth by 4 to 6, slightly leathery, imbricating leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying 2, apical, ovate to lanceolate, green, flexilble, slightly leathery, obtuse, and condulpicate below into the base leaves that blooms in the spring on a basal, erect to arching, 18 to 50" [45 to 128 cm] long, paniculate, 10 to 40 flowered inflorescence with 2 to 6 branches, each with 1 to 8 flowers per branch.

Related to Oncidium hintonii and said to be a synonym by some. I have left them separate now.
