Flower Size 3/4" [2 cm]

Found in Panama, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru from areas that have a long dry winter and is found at elevations of 25 to 1200 meters as a miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with small, 1" pseudobulbs are conical-ovoid, longitudinaly grooved, spaced close together on the rhizome and have a gray green appearance with purple spots, and carrying a single apical, erect, very coriaceous, 4" leaf. The racemose inflorescence is basal, and fairly lax, with few to many, longlasting, non-fragrant flowers that appear in the summer and fall.

Bright light with some shade and even waterings while in growth and then after blooming they need a decided rest with no water or fertilizer until new growth appears.
