Common Name St Paul's Oncidium

Flower Size .8" [2 cm]

Found in Venezuela and Colombia at elevations of 1100 to 1300 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a bare, creeping rhizome giving rise to elliptic, laterally compressed, ancipitous, slight longitudinally grooved pseudobulbs enveloped partially by several pairs of imbricating sheaths and carrying 1 to 2, apical, oblong to elliptic, somewhat leathery, rounded apically, narrowing below into the short, petiolate base leaves that blooms on 1 to 2, ascending to pendulous, basal, along the axil of a basal sheath, 2.4 to 8" [6 to 20 cm] long, 2 to 7 flowered inflorescence
