Common Name The Twisted Flower Oncidium

Flower Size to about 1/2" [to 1.25 cm]

Found in Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and Colombia in disturbed, low evergreen forests at elevations of sealevel to 500 meters as a medium to large sized, hot growing epiphyte with short, broadly truncate towards the apex pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, cylindrical, becoming pendant with age, acuminate sulcate leaf that blooms in the winter and spring on a paniculate, 1 1/2' [45 cm] long, densly many flowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb.
