Common Name The Veined Oncidium

Flower Size seldom more than 1 1/2" [to more than 3.75 cm]

Found in Goias, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Sao Paulo, and Parana states of Brazil, Bolivia and Paraguay at elevations of 500 to 1800 meters as an epiphytic, medium sized, cool to warm growing orchid with ovoid, elongate, slightly compressed and rugose, 4" [10 cm] pseudobulbs that have 2 to 3 apical, lanceolate, coriaceous yet flexible, curved 8" [20 cm] leaves. Blooming in the fall and winter on a basal stiff panicle, usually pendant, branched, lax and 2 to 5' [60 to 150 cm] long and carrying many non-fragrant, variable sized flowers.

Found in Brazil as a cool to hot growing epiphyte that blooms on a stiff, usually pendant, profusely branched, lax and 2 to 5' [60 to 150 cm] long inflorescence occuring in the fall and winter.
