Found in Panama in the crowns of tall trees at elevations around 1000 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with ovate to elliptical, strongly laterally compressed, ancipitous pseudobulbs carrying a single, oblong-lanceolate leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect, to ascending to nodding, paniculate, 10 to 15 branched, each one 3 to 7 flowered, 8 to 24" [20 to 60 cm] long inflorescence carrying scentless flowers.
