Found in France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary Italy, Yugoslavia, eastern Europe, Turkey and Iran and Algeria as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial that is a natural hybrid between O. militaris × O. simia and blooms in the later spring on an erect, terminal, several flowered inflorescence
