Found in Oaxaca state of Mexico in foothills within tropical semideciduous forests at elevations less than 1400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with a fan of distichous, strongly compressed laterally, ensiform, falcate, aciminate leaves with oblong, partially imbricate sheaths that blooms in the summer on 1 to 3, axillary, racemose, keeled, 1.2 to 2.8" [3 to 7 cm] long, flexuous, laxly to 8 flowered inflorescence with semiclasping, conduplicate, ovate, obtuse, langly acute, dorsally carinate, conspicuously denticulate margin floral bracts and carrying inconspicuous, membraneous, subglobose, scarsely opening, yellow green flowers.
