Common Name Krueger's Ornithocephalus [German Orchid Collector 1800's]

This very small, fan-shaped, hot to cool growing, twig epiphyte is from Trinidad, Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia growing on old citrus trees and shrubs in montane rain forests and can be found between the altitudes of 200 and 2200 meters with distichous, arranged in a fan, oblong-lanceolate, conduplicate, compressed, acute leaves that are articulated into the conduplicate leaf-base that blooms in the fall on an erect, 1 1/4" [3 cm] long, axillary, racemose, several flowered inflorescence that is the length of the leaves or shorter.

This species is best mounted on cork, tree fern or wood, given hot to cool, shady, humid conditions with even, year round waterings.
