Found in Costa Rica at elevations of 2000 to 2400 meters as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with a repent stem enveloped by loose, imbricate leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying densely distichous, oblong, acute to shortly apiculate, spreading leaves that blooms in the winter on a lateral, short, 3 to 4 flowered inflorescence with funnel-shaped flroal bracts.
