Found in Cundinamarca department of Colombia at elevations around 2950 to 3100 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with an erect stem enveloped completely by imbricate leaf-bearing sheaths carrying distichous, alternate, acute, with finely ciliate margins, dark green with red spotted leaves that blooms on 1 to 2, axillary, .2" [5 mm] long, 3 to 4 flowered inflorescence with relatively large bracts.
