Found in Peru in wet cloud forests at elevations around 2700 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with a fractiflex, complanate, branching stem enveloped by imbricating, distichous, persistent leaf sheaths carrying obliquely elliptic-ovate, obtuse, ciliolate, basally twisted, apple green leaves that blooms in the fall on axillary, sub-sessile, single to occasionally 2 flowereed inflorescence with ovate-infundibuliform, obtuse floral bracts.
