Common Name The Short Haired Paphiopedilum [refers to the hairs found in the pouch]

Flower Size to 3" [to 7.5 cm]

This orchid is found in the Philippines at elevations of 300 to 1830 meters as a small sized, cool to hot growing terrestrial with narrowly oblong or elliptic-oblong, obtuse, tesselated dark and pale green leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on an erect, pubescent, to about 10" [25 cm] long, terminal, single flowered inflorescence with an ovate bract covering 1/4 of the ovary.
