Common Name Vejvarut's Paphiopedilum
Flower Size 2.7 to 3” [6.8 to 7.5 cm]
Found in southwestern China and Thailand in shady primary forests at elevations around 500 to 750 meters as a small sized, warm growing terrestrial with 4 to 6, linear, obtuse to rounded, unequally bilobed apically, green above, intensely purple towards the base beneath leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect, slender, green, purple spotted, 6.4 to 8” [16 to 20 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a narrowly elliptic to elliptic, obtuse, green to yellow green, heavilly dark purple spotted bract.
