Common Name The Dalat Paphiopedium [A town in southern Vietnam]
Flower Size 3.6 to 4.8” [9 to 12 cm]
Found in southeastern Vietnam in broadleaved evergreen and mixed forests at elevations of 1000 to 1700 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial and natural hybrid between P. callosum and P. villosum var annamense with 5 to 7 narrowly to oblong-elliptic, acute apically, green/palegreen, finely but indistinctly tesselated above, finely purple-violet speckled toward the base beneath leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect to suberect, green, black-purple pubescent, 6 to 8” [15 to 20 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with an ovate to elliptic, acute to subacute, green usually marked with purple, black-purple ciliate floral bracts.
