Found in Taiwan in primary broadleaved forests at elevations around 200 to 600 meters as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with an erect to ascending, usually not branched, rigid, cylindric stem carrying, laxly arranged, straight, pointing to upwards curved, alternate, cylindric, tapering at the apex, fleshy-coriaceous leaves that blooms in the summer on an axillary, stem-like, rigid, straight, suberect, to ascending, terete, 1.2 to 4" [3 to 10 cm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence.
