Found in eastern Brazil as a small sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial orchid with an erect stem carrying 3 to 4, basal, oblong, sharply acute, leaf-like bracts and a few, oblong-lanceolate, acuminate, white margined, the wide base vaginate and subsessile below into the base leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, to 10.8" [27 cm] long, rachis 2 to 2.3" [5 to 6 cm] long, distichous, to 15 flowered inflorescence
