Found in Assam, India, Sri Lanka and Myanmar on banks and hillside roadcuts at elevations up to 1350 metesr as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with an erect leafy throughout stem carrying 6 or so, linear to linear-lanceolate, acute to acuminate, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the late winter spring and again in the later fall on an erect, terminal, peduncle 5.2 to 6.4" [13 to 16 cm] long, with 4 to 7 sterile, foliaceous sheaths, 9.6 to 15.6" " [24 to 39 cm] long overall, somewhat lax, many flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, acute, 5 to 7 veined floral bracts and carrying green flowers.
