Found in southern India as a small sized terrestrial with an erect leafy stem carrying 3 to 4 triangular bracts grading into the elliptic-lanceolate, acute to acuminate apex, basally clasping leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, with cylindric, 4" {10 cm} long, many flowered inflorescence with triangular, longer than the flowers, acute floral bracts.
