Found in India, Myanmar, Thailand, Yunnan China, Vietnam, Borneo, the Philippines and Sumatra in hill and lower montane forests at elevations of 450 to 1700 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with a simple [sometimes with small branches] stem carrying about 6, narrowly lanceolate, unequally bilobed apically, acute to obtuse leaves that blooms in the spring on several, erect to horizontal, terete, .4 to 1.2" [1 to 3 cm] long, 3 to 12 flowered inflorescence with broadly ovate, obtuse floral bracts and half the flowers open at any one time
