Found in Guangdong China in rocky palces in forests or on limestone slopes at elevations of 200 to 1700 meters as a large to giant sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with dark green, cylindric, several to 10 noded pseudobulb enveloped by 6 to 7 leave sheaths towards the apex and carrying elliptic, chartaceous, plicate, erect petillate basae leaves that blooms in the late spring on an erect, arising from the lowest node, to 8" [to 20 cm] long, racemose, many flowered inflorescence
