Common Name Corning's Phalaenopsis [19th century American Orchid Enthusiast]
Flower Size 2 to 2 1/2" [5 to 6.25 cm]
Found in Borneo at elevations of 450 to 610 meters on limestone cliffs near waterfalls on huge mossy trees 20 feet up as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with oblong to obovate leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on a shorter than the leaf, 12" [30 cm] long, zigzag inflorescence with a sequentially opening, few flowers.
