Common Name The Mysore Phalaenopsis
Flower Size .4 to .6" [1 to 1.5cm]
Found in southern India at elevations of 750 to 1800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a very short stem carrying 1 to 3, possibly deciduous, oblong-elliptic, conduplicate at the subpetiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a terete, short, between the leaves, .4 to 3.2" [1 to 8 cm] long, purplish violet, few flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute floral bracts
