Found on Christmas Island in rainforests as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a short stem enveloped completely by leaf bases carrying 4 to 6, fan-like, dark green, linear, flat, blunt leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an axillary, 1.6 to 3.2" [4 to 8 cm] long, thin, many flowered inflorescence carrying non-resupinate flowers
