Found in New Guinea on trees in forests at elevations around 1300 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a very short stem carrying 3 to 4, suberect, ligulate, apiculate, narrowing below into the base leaves that blooms in the early summer on an erect, peduncle shorter than the leaves, many, acuminate bracted, 1.6 to 3.4" [3.5 to 8.5 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with linear-lanceolate, acuminate, much longer than the flowers floral bracts.

Schlechter states that the flowers are white.
