Common Name White Fringed Orchid
Flower Size about 1/2" [1.25 cm]
A medium sized, cold growing terrestrial orchid of the Eastern US and Canada that is found in thickets along streams and swamps, with 2 to 3, elliptic to lanceolate leaves and blooms on a terminal, erect, to almost 3' [90 cm] long, many [15 to 20] flowered, racemose inflorescence with fragrant flowers and slender floral bracts occuring in the late spring and summer.
