Found in Anhui province of China in marshlands at elevations of 1400 meters as a cool growing terrestrial with a narrowly ellipsoid tuber giving rise to an erect stem carrying 1 to 2, basal, oblong, acute, bract-like leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, 8 to 9 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying secund flowers
